I'm going to keep this short and simple. Freedom is the right you have not a privilege you gain. Don't let anyone take what they didn't give you. Keep making choices, don't let the government strip you of that. You are human and were created for a purpose. Your freedom can not be bought but if you decide to give it away, you lose the very thing that makes you human. Freedom is your choice. Be wise.
A Deadly Game
Some people can't see.
They have eyes but are so blind.
Walking around as dumb sheep. Searching but they won't find.
Their knowledge is limited to their senses.
No thoughts outside the box. Ignoring the door as opportunity knocks.
Foolish decisions leave them stranded.
Empty living has their mind branded.
What lies beneath the surface? They will never know.
Why won't they wake up? This is all just a show.
Fists of fury soon put to shame.
The outcome of a deadly game.
Change of the Tide
I've been crying the entire day
Trapped by my own tears
I can't seem to pull away
Drowning in a sea of fear
Who will help me out this place
Where is my true friend
Why is this always the case
Is there just no real end
You saw the glory
You earned the fame
You sold the story
You made your name
My comfort and grief
Though painful for a season
Will soon see a relief
And have a pertinent reason
Now I look to tomorrow
For there is a bright side
Somewhere there's no sorrow
Following the change of the tide
